Terms of Service

1. What Carve is

Carve is a sports-analytics subscription service. It shows model-based probability estimates, fair-price comparisons, and reasoning for baseball betting markets, and lets you track and review bets you place elsewhere. Carve is not a sportsbook, does not accept wagers, does not hold funds for wagering, and does not place bets on your behalf.

2. No betting or financial advice

Nothing on Carve is a guarantee of any outcome. Model probabilities, fair prices, and edge estimates are statistical estimates derived from historical and live data, not certainties. Sports outcomes are inherently uncertain, and you can lose money betting even when Carve’s analysis is sound. You are solely responsible for any wagering decision you make, on Carve or off it.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age in your jurisdiction, if higher) to create an account. Sports wagering is regulated at the state and local level in the United States and is illegal or restricted in some jurisdictions. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, contact the National Problem Gambling Helpline (1-800-522-4700) or ncpgambling.org.

4. Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (weekly or monthly, as selected at checkout) through our payment processor, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse Carve: no scraping or automated bulk extraction of our data outside normal product use, no attempting to circumvent subscription limits or access controls, no reverse-engineering the service, and no using Carve to violate any law applicable to you.

7. Third-party data and links

Carve displays odds, lines, and other data sourced from third-party sportsbooks and data providers, and links out to sportsbooks so you can place bets there. We don’t control those third parties, and we’re not responsible for their content, availability, or accuracy.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Carve is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carve and its operators are not liable for any losses arising from your use of the service, including losses from bets placed based on information shown in Carve.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll post the updated terms here with a new “last updated” date. Continuing to use Carve after a change means you accept the update.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms? Reach out through your account settings or the contact method listed on our site.

This page is a working draft pending formal legal review and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction, particularly given the state-by-state regulatory treatment of sports wagering-adjacent services.
